Let the Games Begin!

The Phillies open their Spring Training season tonight with a game against the Florida State Seminoles.  2007 first-round pick, Joe Savery will get the start against FSU.  After Savery, the scheduled pitching will go as follows:  J.A. Happ, Josh Outman, Carlos Carrasco, Joe Bisenius.  Each pitcher will throw a couple of innings before passing the ball to another.   It’s  day of pitching prospects, and something I’ll want to keep an eye on.  For those interested, the game isn’t televised, but you can pick up a radio feed via the Seminole Radio Network.  Here’s the LINK.  Click on "baseball", and it will take you to the feed.

FYI – You must register before you can listen, so you might want to do that ahead of time.

Here’s the pitching schedule for the upcoming week:

2/27 vs. Reds: Jamie Moyer, Travis Blackley, Clay Condrey, Ryan Madson
2/28 vs. Pirates: Kyle Kendrick, Francisco Rosario, Lincoln Holdzkom
2/29 at Pirates: J.D. Durbin, Shane Youman, John Ennis, Bisenius

3/1 vs. Yankees: Adam Eaton, Chad Durbin, Madson, Condrey, Tom Gordon
3/2 at Yankees: Cole Hamels, Fabio Castro, Carrasco, Holdzkom
3/3 vs. Pittsburgh: Savery, Outman, J.C. Romero, Bisenius

Saturday’s game will be televised here in NYC on YES, so I’m looking forward to finally getting my Phillies fix.
